This policy explains what personal data rendr.gg collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
rendr.gg is operated under the public name Sauce Media ("we", "us"). For privacy questions, rights requests, or formal contracting details, contact hello@saucemedia.us.
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email, name, password hash, workspace, role | Create and secure your account; sign you in |
| Content you create | Scripts, scene text, prompts, generated images/video, uploaded images and files, audio, voice samples, and transcripts | Provide the product — store and render your projects |
| Billing | Credit balance, purchase records (card data is handled by Stripe, not stored by us) | Process payments and meter usage |
| Technical | IP address, browser/device info, log and error data, session cookie | Security, debugging, abuse prevention |
| Usage analytics | If optional analytics are enabled for the deployment and you opt in: page and feature events, a pseudonymous account identifier, browser/device information, and analytics state. We do not send PostHog your name or email, and autocapture and session recording are disabled. | Measure product use with your consent |
rendr.gg generates text, images, video, and audio using third-party AI providers. To do this, your prompts, scene text, Director conversation and tool context, and any reference images, faces, audio, or voices you supply are transmitted to the providers needed for the feature you request. Do not upload another person's face or voice without their consent (see our Acceptable Use Policy). We do not use your private project content to train our own models. Third-party retention or model-training terms depend on the provider and route described on our Subprocessors page.
We share data with vendors strictly to operate the service:
The current list is maintained on our Subprocessors page. If a particular processor, data-processing agreement, or data location matters to your use, contact us before submitting regulated or sensitive data.
We use the essential rendr_session cookie to keep you signed in. Google sign-in uses the short-lived essential g_oauth_state cookie and, when an invitation supplies a validated return path, g_oauth_next. The site and app may store rendr.consent.v1 in local storage to remember your optional-analytics choice. If optional analytics are enabled and you opt in, PostHog also uses local storage for a pseudonymous analytics identifier and measurement state. See the Cookie Policy for lifetimes and details.
We keep your account and project data while your account is active. Ordinary project deletion removes the project from the active project list and places it in recoverable Trash for 30 days. Account deletion may first require you to delete or transfer projects and transfer ownership of shared workspaces. Recovery copies and records kept for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or legal obligations may remain after active data is deleted. Because recovery, log, media, and financial records do not all share one fixed retention period, contact us if a particular retention requirement matters to your use.
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you have rights to:
To exercise any right, email hello@saucemedia.us. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
rendr.gg is not directed to children. Do not use it if you are under 16 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Transfer arrangements depend on the provider and processing location. Contact hello@saucemedia.us for information about the arrangements relevant to a specific feature before using it for regulated data.
We protect your data with access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and signed session cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you and regulators of a breach as required by law.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
